Mrs. Makovy, 90 Dies; Last Rites Held Tuesday Mrs. Aloisie Makovy, 90, of West, died Saturday night at her home. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Makovy was born in Czechoslovakia and had lived in the West area for 84 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Altar-Rosary Society and KJZT Lodge No. 11. Her husband, Joseph Makovy, died in 1956. Survivors are one son, Joe J. Makovy of Route 2, Abbott; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Marek of West, Mrs. Sophie Beseda of Abbott, Mrs. Christine Rejcek of Penelope, and Miss Willie Mae Makovy of West; 30 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; 77 great-great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ed Makovy, Ed Marek, Henry Beseda, Harry Joe Makovy, Johnny Kubala and Lawrence Rejcek. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 78, No. 28, Edition 1, Friday, November 1, 1968, page 1
