Mrs. Louise Duncan, age 97, passed away February 21, 1999 in West. A rosary was recited at 2 p.m. February 22 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel with visitation followed until 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. February 23 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Rev. Melvin Dornak as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Duncan was born November 10, 1901 near Tours, one of 15 children born to Paul and Mary Weinberger Miller. She was baptized in St. Martin's Church, where she was a member until 1916, when the family moved to West and joined St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She worked in the West and Brazos Valley Cotton Mills for 43 years. She was also a member of St. Anne's Altar Society for over 50 years and St. Elizabeth's Altar Society in Tours. She left as a legacy her undying faith and love for God, Church, family and friends. We love you Mama and "Thank you for a job well done good and faithful servant". She is preceded in death by her parents and all of her brothers and sisters; three children, Daniel and David Duncan and Alma Jean Duff; and two sons-in-law, Douglas Duff and Dwayne Sullins. She is survived by three daughters, Audrey Donahew and her husband, Bob of Elm Mott, and Lou Sullins and LaNelle Krammer, both of West; three granddaughters and their husbands, Lynda and Paul Svacek of Stephenville, Denise and Joe English of Crawford and Cindy and Joe Crisler of Whitney; three great-grandchildren, Brandy Ernst of Denton, Kristin English of Austin and Nicholas Svacek of Stephenville; and many nieces, nephews and close friends, including Steve Krammer of Whitney. Pallbearers were Jim Miller, Roger Miller, Robert Miller, Jerry Miller, Patrick Miller and Robert Wesley Miller. The family requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Rest Haven, West Ambulance Association, Hillcrest Clinic at West, St. Martin's Church of Tours or St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West.
