Services in Sidney for Rosalie Karnik, 95 - Rosalie G. Karnik, 95, a resident of Sidney for more than 40 years, died at Heritage Village in Sidney Sunday, Jan. 4, 1987. Funeral for Rosalie Karnik was held at St Patrick's Church Wednesday, Jan. 7th at 10:30 a.m. Father Robert Rooney officiated and burial followed in Greenwood Cemetery. The family has designated St. Patrick's Church as a memorial. Rosalie was born at Clyde on Aug. 11, 1891, the daughter of Louis and Emma Stecher. She was married to Dr. Jerome Karnik on May 4, 1909 at Clyde. She and Dr. Karnik moved to Sidney in 1945 after his retirement and she made her home in Sidney since. Dr. Karnik died at Sidney on April 9, 1960. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, and was active in the Lodgepole Saddle Club for many years. Survivors include two sons, Leon and Allen, both of Sidney; three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Leonard, Joe, and Albert Stecher, and a sister Josie Kovarik, and two grandchildren.
