Leonard Stecher - Services Pending: Services are pending for Leonard Stecher, 61, who died of a sudden illness in the early morning hours Tuesday, at his home at 725 West Military Ave. Mr. Stecher was born Feb. 9, 1894, at North Bend, and had lived in Fremont 20 years, working at the Valley Manufacturing Co. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church. His wife had died on Aug. 17,1954, after an auto accident. Surviving were two daughters, Sister M. Iola of Roselle, Ill., and Sister M. Marissa of Chicago. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Charles Kovarik of Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. Jerome Karnik of Sidney; and five brothers, Joseph of Dodge, Albert of Omaha, Raymond of Fremont, Adolph of West Point, and Jerry of Dodge. Stecher, 61, will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow at the St. Aloysius Cemetery at Aloys. Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
