Obituary: Services Held Tuesday For Adolph Stecher, 57 * Funeral services for Adolph Stecher, 57, West Point, formerly of Dodge, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Humlicek Funeral Home, Dodge. Rev. Frederick J. Juliffs officiated. Hymns were by Mrs. Wm. Wisneski, accompanied by Mrs. Gene Humlicek. Adolph Frank Stecher, son of Louis and Elizabeth Kment Stecher was born on a farm 10 miles south of Dodge, March 31, 1910. He attended school in Schuyler and later in Dodge as the family moved to a farm 2 miles northeast of Dodge in 1924. He was married to Ludmilla Horak January 19, 1933 in David City. They farmed near Clarkson and for a time near Dodge and Tekamah. In 1949 they moved to West Point and lived there to the present time, where he was engaged in carpenter work and as a mechanic. He passed away Saturday afternoon following an illness of several months. He suffered a severe coronary thrombosis Saturday from which he failed to rally. Survivors include his wife, Ludmilla; one son, Louis of West Point; one daughter, Mrs. William (Joan) Drake, Beemer; 2 grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Stecher, Dodge, Raymond Stecher, Renton, Washington; half brothers, Albert Stecher, Omaha, Joseph of Fremont, Frank Votruba, Dodge and Loren Votruba, Schuyler; two half sisters, Mrs. Rosalie Karnik of Sidney and Mrs. C. J. (Josie) Kovarik, Jackson, Miss. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leonard Stecher. Interment was in the Bohemian National Cemetery. Casket Bearers were: Leo Blaha, Frank Vodvarka Jr., Raymond Wortman, William Bleimeister, Floyd Laaker and Albert Guenther.
