Bio

Son of Chester Ferrington and his wife Adeline Curtis. Warren married Anna Mary Glenn in Monmouth, Warren county, Illinois on 19 January 1876. She died 27 August 1885 in Monmouth, the mother of Alfred Lester and Daisy E. Ferrington. Warren also married Mary C. Douglas in Monmouth on 17 November 1886. She died 5 December 1890 in Des Moines, Iowa. Warren then married Emma A. Sutton, the widow of John J. Owens, in Des Moines on 9 August 1893. He had no known children with his second or third wives. Warren learned the trade of rug making from his mother, and worked at that trade in Galesburg and Monmouth before moving to Des Moines, Iowa. There, he was the proprietor of Reliable Rug Company, a business continued by his third wife and step-children. His son Alfred went to Oregon, then California, where he established his own rug weaving business in El Camino. Daughter Daisy married Gerald Arthur Freeman, and also lived in Oregon.
