Emil R. Marek Dies at Waco Emil R. Marek, age 44, passed away at a Waco hospital at 7:55 p.m. Friday, July 5th. Funeral services were held here at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the C.M.B. church, Rev. F. J. Kostohryz officiating, burial in National cemetery. Mr. Marek, a native of Hill county, was well known throughout this section. He is survived by his widow; three children, Bessie, Marvin and Billie Joe Marek; a sister, Miss Annie Marek; five brothers, Frank, Vinc, John, Joe and Rud. Marek, all of this and the Abbott community. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 51, No. 7, Ed. 1 – Friday, July 12, 1940
