Rites Held For Joe K. Marek, Abbott Resident Funeral services for Joe K. Marek of Rt. 2, Abbott, were held Saturday, Sept. 2, at Aderhold-Moore Chapel in West at 3 p.m. Rev. John Bravenec officiated with burial in National Cemetery. Mr. Marek died at his home Friday, Sept. 1. He was 77. Mr. Marek was born in Czechoslovakia. He had lived in Hill County for several ears. He was a farmer. Survivors include one brother, Rudolph K. Marek of Rt. 1, Abbott; and one sister, Miss Annie K. Marek of Rt. 1, Abbott. Pallbearers were Joe Barton, Emil Popp, Jim Marek, A.P. Matus, Sr., Emil Marek and Henry Popp. Out-of-town people attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Jerry R. Marek and family, Mr. Frank Vanek and Mrs. Melvin Hefelfinger, all of Mart; Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Haskovec and son of Ennis; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Marek and family, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Marek, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Mikeska all of Grand Prairie and Mrs. Jewel Webb and son of Waco.
