John Marek, 74, Dies At Penelope John M. Marek, 74, passed away at his home near Penelope last Thursday. Rev. John Fullerton conducted funeral services at Aderhold Funeral Chapel Sunday afternoon. Interment was in National Cemetery. Survivors are his widow; five sons, John Marek of Mount Calm, Emil Marek, Henry Marek and Jim Marek, all of Grand Prairie, Bill Marek of Penelope; five daughters, Mrs. Jewell Webb, Mrs. Fay Sullivan, Mrs. Carrie Corley, all of Waco, Mrs. Frances Miaczynski of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Matilda Maders of New Jersey; two brothers, Joe and Rudolph Marek of Abbott; one sister, Miss Annie Marek of Abbott and 12 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jim Marek Eugene Adams, Ernest Adams, Robert Cervenka, Emil Tobola and Eugene Hromadka. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 65, No. 25, Edition 1, Friday, October 28, 1955, page 2.
