Betty Fajkus Marek, Find A Grave Contributor, #48445083 Mrs. Rose Marek, age 69, of 300 Haven, passed away at 4:15 in West Community Hospital. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 1980 in West Church of Christ with Minister Sam Armstrong officiating. Burial followed in National Cemetery, near West. Survivors include two sons, Marvin Marek and Billy Marek, both of Austin; 2 daughters, Annie Iverson of Indiana and Bessie Herbruck of Ohio; 3 brothers, Frank Simcik of Temple, Charlie Simcik and Rudolph Simcik of Taylor; 3 sisters, Julia Simcik, Albina Maly and Annie Matoska, all of Taylor. Pallbearers were: Donald Adair, Robert Busby, Edward L. Stacy, Jerry R. Marek, Vince Nemec and George A. Marek. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
