When Benjamin McClellan "Mack" Chaney was born in August 1853 in Alabama, his father, Benjamin, was 42 and his mother, Margaret G McClellan Chaney, was 34. He was married three times and had three sons and four daughters between 1886 and 1902. He died in 1903 in Van Zandt, Texas, at the age of 49. Benjamin Mack Chaney was born in Talledega County, Alabama. He married Louisa Ballard 4 Oct 1878 in Van Zandt County, Texas.
