Bio
Marie D. Grabowski, the daughter of Gregory and Josie (Siuda) Kowalski, was born at St. Libory, Nebraska, on February 21, 1911, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 10, 1992, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, and 19 days. Marie attended Schupps School near Ashton in Sherman County, and continued to live with her parents and brothers. On July 2, 1949, she was united in holy matrimony to Tony Grabowski at Scotia, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on January 9, 1980. After their marriage they lived in Ashton until 1956, when they moved to Aurora, where she has since resided. Marie entered the Hamilton Manor in May of 1991. She was a devout member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora, and belonged to the church circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, and 4 sisters. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her one son Paul and his wife Christi of Wahoo; 3 daughters, Joan Gilbert and Patricia Traxler, both of Aurora, Susan Stahr and her husband Jerry of York; one brother Walter Kowalski of Palmer, one sister Dorothy Molczyk of Grand Island, and 12 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
