Phonograph-Herald, Feb 23, 1972 (8:2) Walter Obermiller funeral February 16 Walter Obermiller was born Jan. 6, 1897 and died Feb. 14, 1972 at the hospital in Loup City at the age of 75 years. Services were held Feb 16 at United Methodist church at St. Paul, and at Kelso Cemetery, arranged by Jacobsen Funeral Home. The Rev. Bruce Matthews was in charge, with Mrs. Burt Johnson organist. A tribute was offered in vocal music by Mrs. George Sorensen Jr, and Mrs. Robert Brehm. Bearers were Henry, Edward, and Irvine Obermiller, Edward Lemburg, Gaylord Schade and Steve Kosmicki. Walter Herman Obermiller was the son of Fred and Amelia Bernhagen Obermiller. He farmed the home place near Farwell. June 25, 1938 he was married to Rosa Gans at St. Paul, who survives him, as do three brothers, Delbert, Wesley and Fredrick, all of Farwell. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a brother Elmer.
