The Columbian Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999 Frieda N. Kersey Vancouver - A funeral will begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Washougal for Frieda Kersey, who died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, in Vancouver. She was 98. Burial will be in Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Straub's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Kersey was born May 1, 1901 in Washougal. She graduated from Washougal High School. Mrs. Kersey loved music and playing the piano and was the organist at St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Washougal. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Amaranth in Camas. She and her husband, Clark, operate Kersey's Grocery Store in Camas for 25 years. He died in 1985. A son, Floyd Blair, died in 1979. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Frances Blair of Vancouver; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund, 2350 B. St., Washougal, WA 98671.
