We know Millie "Amelia" was born in Czechosloviaka-Moravia but unsure of exact location at this time. Married to John Kubicek on November 14, 1905 in Brainard/Butler, NE, USA at Saint Trinity Church. Children: Boys: Edward "Eddie", Charles Carl "Charlie", Emil, John Jr., Alouis "Louie", William "Willie" & Joe Girls: Rose, Helen, Lillian & Mary. Pg 9 Millie (Novak) Kubicek Millie Kubicek dies Thursday; rites Monday Mrs. Millie Kubicek, 83, of 1803 8th Street died Thursday afternoon in a Norfolk hospital. She had been ill the past five years. Funeral services are scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony Catholic church with the Rev. Armand Lubanski officiating, and burial will be in St. Bonaventure cemetery. Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Sunday at the McKown Funeral Home where the body will lie in state after 1 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Kubicek, a resident of Columbus since 1950, was born Aug. 25, 1880, in Czechoslovakia. At the age of one she came to Abie, Nebr., with her parents John and Katherine (Bohaty) Novak, residing there until her marriage to John Kubicek on Nov. 14, 1905. The Kubiceks farmed at Brainard, Valparaiso and in Polk county near Shelby. In Columbus Mrs. Kubicek was a member of St Anthony's parish and St. Theresa sodality. Her husband died on June 7, 1959 and she was also preceded in death by an infant son, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by seven sons, John Jr., Alouis and Edward of Columbus, Carl of Glendora, Calif., Emil, Joseph and William of Shelby; four daughters, Mrs. Leo (Mary) Glatter and Mrs. Herman (Rose) Gabel of Shelby, Mrs James (Helen) Alt of Columbus and Mrs. Marvin (Lillian) Dawes of Osceola, 23 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren ___________________________________________ Tuesday, April 21, 1964 The Columbus Daily Telegram Columbus, NE. Pg #6 Kubicek Services — Funeral services for Mrs. Millie Kubicek, 83, who died Thursday, were conducted at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony church. The Rev. Armand Lubanski officiated, and burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: Larry Daum, Gary Glatter, Jerome Gabel, and David, Kenneth and Carl Dean Kubicek.
