Thursday, September 27, 1962 The Schuyler Sun Schuyler, NE Pg #3 Stanley Novak Stanley Novak 77, of Linwood died Friday, Sept. 21 at David City Hospital. He suffered a paralytic stroke earlier at his home. Funeral service was conducted at Sokol Hall in Abie Monday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Donald Proett officiated, Music was furnished by Fredrick and Raymond Houfek and Marjorie Proett. Pallbearers were Ed, Joe and Emil Kubicek, Marvin Dawes, Leo Glatter and Herman Gabel. Burial was in the National Cemetery. Born in Butler County March 9, 1885, to the late John and Mary Novak, Mr. Novak spent his entire life on a farm, the last few years retired. He had never married. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Anton Kubicek of Osceola. Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Note: Mrs. Anton Kubicek is Mrs. John "Millie" (Novak) Kubicek. Unsure why the name Anton was used.
