Monday, April 4, 1977 Columbus Telegram, Columbus, NE. Pg 7 Kubicek, John Jr. Kubicek—John Kubicek Jr., 70, David City, died Sunday night in the Butler County Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Shelby, with burial in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Anthony The body will lie in state at Kepner-Roberts Funeral Home, Osceola, from noon Tuesday until after the rosary at *:30 p.m. Son of John and Mildred (Novak) Kubicek, he was born Sept. 30, 1906 at Valparaiso. An auto mechanic, he had lived in Shelby and Columbus and since 1974 in David City. Survivors include his son, Kenneth of Shelby, five brothers, Charles of Glendora, Calif., Joseph and William of Shelby, Alouis and Edward of Columbus, four sisters, Mrs. Leo (Mary) Glatter and Mrs. Albert (Rose) Lux of Shelby, Mrs. Marvin (Lillian) Dawes of Osceola, Mrs. James (Helen) Alt of Columbus; three grandchildren. His parents and one brother preceded him in death Helen (Glatter) Kubicek and John Jr. were married on December 20, 1938 and later divorced.
