THE INDEPENDENT Thursday, July 25, 1991, Page 5B GIVENS Vernon Givens, a native of Baldwin County and a resident of Robertsdale, died June 8, He is survived by his wife, Mary Givens of Robertsdale; a daughter, Pat Givens Riendeau of Robertsdale; son Sammy Givens of Fairhope, two grand daughters, Susan Riendeau of Auburn, AL and Marcy Riendeau of Robertsdale; two step grandchildren, Kenny Merriweather and Connie Thompson of Fairhope; two sisters, Mattie Merchant of Seminole and Agnes Richey of Madison, Ind. two brothers, Clyde Givens and Leonard Givens of Robertsdale; two half-sisters, Gladys Vaughn and Mary Lee Malone of Seminole; and a half-brother, Rev. Thomas Givens of Cantonment, Fla. Funeral services were held June 11 at the chapel of Mack Funeral Home. Rev. Stan Crui and Rev. Thomas Givens presided at the ceremony. Interment was held at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Elsanor, AL.
