REV. THOMAS E. GIVENS SR. Rev. Thomas E. Givens, Sr. "Pawpaw". 86, left to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, September 5. 1999. He resided in Cantonment for over 38 years. He was preceded in death by one son, Frank Givens. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 63 years. lnez Givens; daughter, Betty Lou Milstead; three sons, Thomas Givens Jr., Leon Givens. Howard Givens; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at 3:00 PM at Perdido United Methodist Church in Perdido, AL. Burial will be in the Sullivan Cemetery in Perdido. AL. FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. ~~~~ Thomas Elige Givens, Sr. born to Ossie Givens & Rose Tyree Givens on August 13, 1913 in Gateswood, Alabama, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, September 5, 1999, at 5:05 p.m. Leaving to cherish his memory a loving wife of 63 years, Mrs. Inez Virgina Givens. Together they raised five beautiful children: Betty Lou Milstead, Thomas Elige Givens, Jr., Frank Hayne Givens, Harold Leon Givens, and Ossie Howard Givens. Betty's Family: Carl Milstead — Evans (Steven) and Selena Smith (Ryan, Riley, Ricky) Susan Winters (Weston, Travis, Kayla) Thomas, Jr.'s Family: Ron (Emily), Deede Johnson (Madison, Chandler), Laurie Moore Leon's Family: Gina Conway (Jessica, Dakota), Derrick Howard's Family: Mickey, Van, Will Known to many serving the Lord fifty plus years as Pastor of Seminole Holiness Church. A man who knew no stranger. Loving and caring for all, Sharing the word and the gift of the living water with all whom he met Thomas Elige Givens, Sr. will be dearly missed by all.
