The Independent, Robertsdale, Alabama Wed., December 5, 1990 GIVENS James Hannis Givens Sr., 58, a native of Seminole and a resident of Cantonment, Fla., died Nov. 27, 1990. He is survived by his wife, Agnes Idell Givens of Cantonment; one daughter, Brenda Givens Smith of Cantonment; four sons, James H. Givens Jr. and Charles D. Givens of Robertsdale, John Wesley Givens of Loxley and Allen D. Givens of Cantonment; five sisters, Mattie Merchant and Mary Lee Malone of Seminole and Agnes Rickey of Madison, Ind.; six brothers, Vernon Givens, Clyde Givens, and Leonard Givens of Robertsdale and Thomas Givens of Cantonment; and 10 grandchildren. He had a sister and two brothers who preceded him in death. Services were held Thursday, Nov. 29, 1990 from Mack Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendell Ard officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home Inc., Robertsdale, AL.
