Philomena Herl Dies A Her Home Sunday Night Mrs. Philomena Herl, 66, died Sunday night at her home at 11 East 16th in Hays. Survivors are her husband Jerome, of the home; three sons, Celestine, Parsons, Kas., Edwin, Victoria, and Alvin, Ogallah; six daughters, Mrs. Alfred Leiker, Mrs. Nick Kreutzer, Mrs. Alfred Geist and Miss Marietta Herl, all of Hays; Mrs. John VonFeldt, Vincent and Mrs. Vernon Whitman, Victoria; three brothers, Joe and John Pfannenstiel of Hays and Anton Pfannenstiel, Ness City; 30 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren The body will He in state a Brock North Hill Chapel at Hay until the hour of the service. Funeral services will be at 1 a.m. Wednesday in St, Joseph Catholic church at Hays. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hays Daily News, 12/18/1961
