Son of Andrew Debney Grzechowiak & Catherine (Szawica) Zaucha Grzechowiak. Name was changed to Gzehoviak in the US and later he used Dabney as his last name. Not married. Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent July 1971 Frank Dabney, 92, of Parkside Nursing Home, died early Tuesday morning. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. There will be a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral with the Rev. Andrew M. Augustyn officiating. Interment will be in the Grand Island Cemetery. Mr. Dabney was born Oct. 27, 1978 (sic), at Tarnov (Nebraska), the son of Andrew and Katherine Dabney (originally Grzechowiak). He spent his younger days in Loup City and in 1964 moved to Grand Island to make his home with his sister. Mr. Dabney recently moved to the Parkside Nursing Home. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral. Mr. Dabney is survived by a sister, Mrs. Stancie Larchick of Grand Island. His parents, two brothers, three half-brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
