2000 February 12 -- Pearl Wallace McEntyre - The Kentucky Post (Covington, Kentucky) Online Edition "Pearl McEntyre became church's librarian Pearl Leah [sic] McEntyre enjoyed church, children and books. So the perfect volunteer job for Mrs. McEntyre was taking care of the books at Trinity United Methodist Church in Latonia [Kentucky] where she was a member. Mrs. McEntyre categorized the books and helped children find their subjects. In effect, she became a librarian at the church, said a son, Ollie McEntyre of Latonia. For her efforts, church members named their library after Mrs. McEntyre. Mrs. McEntyre, 95, of Latonia died at 7:50 p.m. Thursday [10 February 2000] at Grant Manor Health Care Center in Williamstown. She was a homemaker and former housemother for St. Elizabeth Medical Center School of Nursing. Her husband, Clarence W. McEntyre Sr., died in 1956. Mrs. McEntyre and her husband were Georgia natives who moved to northern Kentucky as young adults. Clarence McEntyre Sr was an electrician who at one time owned his own firm in Cincinnati [Ohio].
