Husband of Pearl Estelle Chastain Uptmor; Married 05 Mar 1923 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Frank Uptmor, 89, a Pleasanton business man for over forty years, died Feb. 20, 1985 in Jourdanton. A man of great character who was loved and respected by all who knew him, he will hold a special place in the hearts of his family and friends forever. He was born in West on Dec. 10, 1895. He was a proud World War I veteran and operated a business in Pleasanton for over forty years. Before his retirement, he also served at Kelly Air Force Base as a civil engineer. He was the beloved husband of Pearl Chastain Uptmor for 62 years. He is survived by his wife, Pearl; two daughters, Frances Uptmor Rundell of San Antonio and Marjorie Uptmor Jennings of Houston; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Agatha Deiterman of West and Theresa Rauschuber of West, also Otilla Deiterman of Temple. Rosary was at St. Andrew's Catholic Church at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 21. Services were held Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Pleasanton with the Rev. Thomas O'Brien officiating. Interment was in St. Andrew's Cemetery #2 in Pleasanton with arrangements by Hurley Funeral Home of Pleasanton.
