Bio

Theresa Uptmore Rauschuber, age 90 of West, passed away early Monday morning, January 15, 2001 at West Rest Haven. A rosary was recited 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Rauschuber was born May 12, 1010 in Tours, the youngest daughter and last surviving child of nine, born to Anton and Otilia Uptmore. She graduated from St. Mary's School in West. She married Theodore Rauschuber on November 7, 1939 in Tours. He preceded her in death in 1970. She lived in Lindsay, where she worked as a secretary and cooked for the local priest for many years. She moved back to West in 1973 and worked for West Community Hospital in the dietary department from 1973 to 1983. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America in West and Lindsay, St. Anne's Altar Society and R.V.O.S. in West. She was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Pearl and Emil Fridel, Dorothy and Adolph Havel, Louis and Rhetta Deiterman, Jr., Bobby and Tena Deiterman, Ann and Benny Tschoerner, Robert and Gail Uptmor, Jr., James and Jan Uptmore, Ted and Adele Uptmore, Carol and Tom Beard, Pat and Nancy Uptmore, David and Sue Uptmore, Alan R. Uptmore, A.J. and Mickie Uptmore, Margie Jennings, Frances Rundell, Irene Vrba, Evelyn Vrba, Lillian and Bill Beckham and several other relatives. Pallbearers are Louis Deiterman, Jr., Bobby Deiterman, James H. Uptmore, Ted Uptmore, Jr., Jimmy Havel, Edward A. Havel, Alan Uptmore and Pat Uptmore. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's School Endowment Fund or St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
