Bio

Henry Joseph "Hank" Goblish was born on 18 April 1922, to Rosa Jenny (Serbus) and Michael Jacob Goblish, in Henryville Township, Renville County, Minnesota. Henry attended School District #12 in Henryville Township and then moved to the farm near Danube, Minnesota. Henry married Rose Marie Patricia Reibel on 24 April 1954, at White Bear Lake, Ramsey County, Minnesota. After their marriage, Henry and Rose Marie lived on the farm all of their lives and were members of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia. They had one son, Harold, and a daughter, Roxanne (Doberstein). Henry Joseph Goblish died at the age of 81, on Friday, 20 February 2004, at the Renville County Hospital in Olivia, Renville County, Minnesota. Cause of death was an apparent heart attack caused from shoveling snow. Henry was survived by his wife of nearly fifty years, Rose Marie Reibel Goblish of Danube; son, Harold Goblish and special friend, Donna Arends, of Raymond; and daughter, Roxanne (Tom) Doberstein of Eagan; granddaughter, Kaitlin Goblish; brother, John E. Goblish of Olivia; and sisters, Marie Wertish of Olivia and Rose Kohout of Redwood Falls. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leo Goblirsch; and two sisters, Irene Houdek and Sister Margaret Goblish. Henry's funeral service was on Tuesday, 24 February 2004, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia with the Reverend Paul van de Crommert officiating. Burial followed in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Olivia, Renville County, Minnesota.
