Bio
Marie M. Serbus was born on 22 January 1917 to Mary Ann Kubesh and Henry Peter Serbus. Marie was one of eleven children. She married Donald Bergstrom and they had one son, Donald Bergstrom, Jr. Marie M. (Serbus) Bergstrom died at the age of 71 on Saturday, 06 November 1988, at the Cosmos Health Care Center in Cosmos, Meeker County, Minnesota. Marie was survived by her son, Donald, of Willmar; three sisters, Bea Brown of Fridley, Dorothy (Steve) Hudak of Lindstrom and Helen Mogren of Minneapolis; one brother, Peter Serbus of Kimball; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Marie on Tuesday, 08 November in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia, Minnesota; Reverend Peter Nosbush officiated. Burial followed in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Bechyn, Renville County, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Gordy Serbus, Dick Serbus, Randy Serbus, Tim Hudak, Steve Hudak, Jr., Steve Hudak, Sr., and Richard Bergstrom.
