Bio

Frank Edward Serbus was born on 18 August 1902 in Henryville Township, Renville County, Minnesota, to Mary Zetah and Frank M. Serbus. Frank Edward attended District #12 country school in Renville County. Later in life, Frank was a custodian at the Renville County Courthouse in Olivia, he worked for several local farmers, and was a watchman at Central Bi-Products. Frank was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bechyn, Minnesota. In 1973, he moved to Redwood Falls where he attended St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. Frank never married. Frank Edward Serbus died at the age of 90, on Thursday, 25 March 1993, at his home in Redwood Falls, Redwood County, Minnesota. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; three infant siblings; brothers, Adolph, Joseph, and Theodore; and, sisters, Catherine Tersteeg, Lucille Dolezal, and Mary Malecek. Visitation for Frank was from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., on Wednesday, 31 March, and from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, 01 April, at the Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, 01 April 1993, at 10:30 a.m., for Frank Edward Serbus, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Following the service, Frank was buried in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Bechyn, Renville County, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Gordon, Richard, and Roland Serbus, Thomas Tersteeg, Jerome Malecek, Daniel Dolezal, and Larry Amberg.
