Herald Coaster, April 15, 2003: Funeral services for Annie Schonert Harrington, age 86, of Needville, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at the Needville Community Assembly of God with the Rev. Stan Rule officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at the Garmany & Carden Funeral Chapel in Needville. Pallbearers will be, Bert Kucera, Calvin Petrosky, Melvin Petrosky, Clint Stringer, Dale Stringer, and Byron Griffith. Annie was born Aug. 10, 1916, in Needville, to John and Martha Zwahr Miller. She passed away April 14, 2003 in Richmond. She was a very kind and loving Christian lady who was always there to help her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 51 1/2 years, Ervin Schonert; her brothers, Henry and John Miller; and her sisters, Katie Gragert, Olivia Tielke, and Elsie Nawara. She is survived by her husband, Fred Harrington of Needville; daughters, Earline Schonert Kucera and husband Arnold, of Needville; Bernice Schonert Petrosky and husband Felix, of Guy; Lucille Schonert Scott and husband Richard, of Washington State; and Peggy Schonert Griffith of Needville; stepchildren, Bridget Purifoy; Brenda Markert and husband Butch; Tricia Smith and husband Donnie; Carla Harmon and husband Rayford; and Stanley Harrington and wife Arleen; grandchildren, Diane McKnight; Bonnie Frazier; Bert Kucera; Annette Irvin; Marie Ann McKinnon; Calvin Petrosky; Melvin Petrosky; Janet Moses; Brenda Marsh; Clint Stringer; Kimberly Bridges; Dale Stringer; Chuck Griffith; and Byron Griffith; 11 step-grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; three step-great-granchildren; five great-great grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Broze and Dorothy Selig; and numerous nieces and nephews.
