Fort Bend Herald, April 11, 2008: Funeral services for Ruby Lee Miller Broze will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 12, 2008, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pastor Norm Albertson will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Ruby was born February 22, 1921 in Guy to John and Martha (Zwahr) Miller. She enjoyed life to the fullest in her last years of being mobile. She loved to dance, paint ceramic items as gifts to family and friends, fishing, working in her yard, and spending time with her grandchildren. Ruby had a squirrel feeder in the form of a table and chair where she would take the grandkids out to watch the squirrels eat. We will miss her very much, but are thankful for all the times we enjoyed together. She passed away April 9, 2008 in Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Adolph "Doc" Martin Broze; and her second husband, Johnnie Koenig; her parents, John and Martha Miller; son, Franklin Broze; son-in-law, Adolph Fred Rosenbaum; two grandchildren, Jett Sykora and Allie Vikos; sisters, Katie Gragert, Olivia Tielke, Elsie Nawara, Annie Schonert; brothers, Henry Miller and John Miller, Jr. Ruby is survived by her children, Barabara Broze Sykora and her husband, Johnny, Jane Broze Rosenbaum, Robert Broze and his wife, Linda, Linda Broze Stavinoha and her husband, Tommy; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Selig; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Pallbearers will be Chris Sykora, Scott Sykora, Stephen Stavinoha, Marty Stavinoha, Daryl Selig, and Leroy Poehls. For those wishing, memorials can be made in Ruby's name to the Alzheimer's Association, Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter, 2242 W. Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030-2008.
