The Herald Coaster, January 14, 2005: Funeral services for Earline Caroline Kucera, 69, of Fairchilds, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Rosenberg with the Rev. Jim McConnell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Dwayne, Clinton, Clayton, and Cody McKnight, Shane Sabrsula, and Mike McArthur. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Irvin. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2004 at Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors Chapel, 1201 Fourth Street in Rosenberg. Mrs. Kucera was born Dec. 13, 1935 in Fairchilds to Ervin Louis Schonert and Annie Schonert Harrington. She died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005 at OakBend Medical Center in Richmond. Mrs. Kucera was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rosenberg, and the American Legion. She loved cooking, crocheting, making porcelain ceramics and hosting family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Ruben Sabrsula Jr.; and stepfather, Fred Harrington. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Arnold Kucera of Fairchilds; daughters: Diane McKnight and husband Curtis, of Hallettsville, Bonnie Frazier and husband Hollis, of Bay City, and Annette Irvin and husband Carl, of Damon; son, Leslie Bert Kucera and wife Diana, of Sargent; grandchildren: Dwayne and Stacy McKnight, Clinton and Rebecca McKnight, Cody McKnight, Clayton McKnight, Tiffany and Mike McArthur, Holli and Melinda Frazier, Lisa Kucera, Shane Sabrsula, and Brandon Irvin; five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters: Bernice Petrosky and husband Felix, Lucille Scott and husband Rick, and Peggy Griffith; four stepsisters: Brenda Markert and husband Butch, Bridget Purifoy and special friend Ronnie Holcomb, Carla Harmon and husband Rayford, and Trisha Smith and husband Donnie; stepbrother, Stan Harrington and wife Arleen; numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
