Services For C. W. Schutza Held Thursday Funeral services for Charlie William Schutza of Route 1, West, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul's United Church of Christ at Gerald, his birthplace. He was a member of the church. Mr. Schutza, a West resident for 34 years, died at 3:30 a.m . Tuesday in a Waco hospital. He was 63. At the time of his death, Mr. Schutza owned and operated the White Oak Grocery and Service Station on Interstate 35 south of West. He started in the grocery business with his brother Ben in 1923 at Katy Lake and had been selling Mobil products for 34 years. He married the former Ethel Degges in 1928 in Waco. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary Schutza of Richardson and Dennie Schutza of San Tee, Calif.; four brothers, Alfred Schutza and Ben Schutza, both of Elm Mott, Edwin Schutza of West, and Henry Schutza of Fort Worth; a sister, Mrs. Christine Herzog of Waco; three half sisters, Mrs. Emma Young and Mrs. Albina Hill, both of Waco, and Mrs. Elsie Grochoske of Burleson; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Lawrence Schutza, Gene Schutza, Glenn Schutza, Herbert Vavra, Harold Vavra and Butch Mier.
