Bio

LOVE, NORA BELLE—Nora Belle McCashland was born at Grafton, Neb., September 1, 1875. She departed this life November 3, 1936, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Kiester, aged 61 year, 2 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage to I. J. Love, May 17, 1897. To this union were born two children, Mildred, Mrs. Robert Kiester of Geneva, and Ethel Love of Lincoln. Besides her husband and children, she leaves to mourn her death and cherish her memory one grandchild, Ethel Kiester, her son-in-law, Robert Kiester; a sister, Mrs. George Pickerill of Geneva; and five brothers, F. W. McCashland of Lebanon, Neb.; Ivan McCashland of Geneva, W. H. McCashland of Chugwater, Wyo; and J. R. MaCashland of Charlton, Neb. Mrs. Love grew to womanhood at her home near Grafton, where she was married and went with her husband to Denver, Col., where they resided until the spring on 1910, when they returned to this community. In the spring of 1925, they moved to Wisner, Neb., returning to Geneva in the spring of 1934, and have since resided here. Mrs. Love lived a quiet, unassuming life, a loyal friend and neighbor, greatly devoted to her home and family. Those who knew her best loved her most. She had been in ill health for a number of months, but through it all was a patient sufferer, having a smile and kindly word for those about her. She became a member of the royal Neighbor lodge a number of years ago and held her membership in the Geneva lodge at the time of her death. Naturally she will be greatly missed by her companion of nearly forty years, and other loved ones and by a large circle of neighbors and friends. The funeral was conducted at the Geneva Methodist church Friday, November 6, Rev. W. H. Shoaf officiating. The interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal, November 12th, 1936 page 1.
