Dodge Paper- Dec 25, 1908 Chas Karnik, a former resident and business man of this place, died at his home at Lindsay on Tuesday evening, after an illness of some considerable duration. The deceased was a native of Bohemia, where he was born a little more that forty-nine years ago. When a boy of nineteen he came with his parents to dodge county and later to this neighborhood where he resided up to about a year ago. The remians were brought here this morning from Lindsay, accompanied by the sorrowing family and a delegation from the Z.C.B.J. Lodge including a committee from the lodge of the same order of this place. Survices were conducted at St John's church by Rev Zak and the interment was at St John's cemetery. The deceased was a member of the following: Odd Fellows(membership at Dodge), W.O.W., Z.C.B.J., and A.O.U.W. The local lodges attended the funeral in a body and a delegation of Odd Fellows were her from Dodge. The insurance carried by the deceased leaves the family well provded for. Of his immediate family there is the aged mother, the wife, two sons and five daughters all of whom have the sympathy of the community in their hour of sorrow. We understand the family will again take up their residence in Howells
