The Banner-Press (David City, Nebraska) 09 Mar 1978, Thu Page 17 Services Held At Dwight March 4 For Mrs. Rose Hottovy Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Hottovy, 85, of Dwight, were conducted Saturday Morning, March 4, from Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight. Mrs. Hottovy died at the Butler County Hospital, David City, Thursday, March 2, following a lingering illness. Rose Hottovy, the daughter of Matej and Anna Zeman Moravec, was born Aug. 1, 1892, at Plasi. She was united in marriage to Charles L. Hottovy of Dwight, on Feb. 2, 1914, in Assumption Church, Dwight. They were parents of nine children. They lived on a farm three miles west of Dwight during their entire married life. Following the death of Mr. Hottovy on Aug. 12, 1962, she moved into Dwight to make her home. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Society, of which she was a past president. For many years she was a member of the Dwight Good Neighbors Club. During World War II, four of Mrs. Hottovy's sons served with the Armed Forces. She leaves six sons, Adolph and Reynold of Ulysses, Raymond of Morris, Minn., and Charles, Emil, and Richard of Dwight; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Lucille) Eiting of David City, Mrs. Ray (Agnes) Fiala of Wahoo and Mrs. Leonard (Rosemarie) Klein of Bellwood; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Jackley of Carroll, Ia., and Mrs. Emil Krenk of Fremont;;; 37 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, James and Joe Moravec; and four sisters, Mmes. Mary Helman, Anna Chmelka, Agnes Pospichal and Toni Jisa.
