he Columbus Daily Telegram, Columbus, Nebraska November 27, 1966 SILVER CREEK - Alois J. Siemek, 60, Silver Creek died Sunday morning at St. Mary's hospital after being in failing health the past year. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic church, with Rev. Fr. Norman Parr officiating. and burial will be in St. Mary's, Pilsno, cemetery. The body will lay in state...at Fleming-McKown Funeral Home... The son of George and Katherine Kula Siemek, he was born Feb. 16, 1906, in Polk County and attended Polk county schools. He was married to Elizabeth Borowiak july 1, 1950, at Krakow and they lived in Polk county. Mrs. Siemek died in 1963 and he then moved to Silver Creek. Mr. Siemek, a retired farmer, was a member of St. Lawrence parish. Surviving are one son, Walter, and daughter, Margaret of Silver Creek; two brothers, Steve and Levi of Silver Creek, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Koziol of Chicago, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Stanczyk of Golden, Colo. Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Gembica of Central City, and Mrs. Edward (Clara) Zelazny of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents, one son, Bernard; four brothers and two sisters.
