Bio

Thanks to contributor #48796369; Miss Clara Siemek of Polk county, and Edward Zelazny, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zelazny of Clarks were united in marriage at a nine o'clock mass at the Pilsno Catholic Church in Polk county Tuesday morning, Nov. 14, with the parish priest, Fr. Edward Jaworowski, officiating. The bride wore a white basque satin dress, floor length, a veil with a long train and carried a large bouquet of flowers Bridesmaids were Miss Helen Zelazny, sister of the groom, and Miss Dorothy Stanczyk, cousin of the bride, Miss Zelazny wore a pink taffeta dress, floor length, and Miss Stanczyk a blue taffeta dress, floor length. Both carried bouquets of chrysanthemums. Mrs. Stempek of Duncan sister of the groom, was a matron of honor. The best men were Stephen Siemek, brother of the bride, and A. Zelazny, brother of the groom. Flower girls were nieces of the bride and groom and they presented a pretty sight in pink dresses which were made alike. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the bride's home for immediate members of the family. The tables were nicely decorated and a three-tier wedding cake which formed the centerpiece was cut by the bride and later served at the wedding dance which was held at the Kula hall in Silver Creek that evening, with a capacity crowd in attendance. The newly-weds will make their home on a farm near Clarks. Silver Creek Sand, November 17, 1939
