Mary married to Joseph Koziel ============= Columbus (Nebraska) Telegram October 1922 Osceola, Route 3 DEATH OF GEORGE SHEMEK George Shemek, a pioneer resident of this neighborhood for over 45 years, died at his home Tuesday evening at 10:30, Oct 23. Mr. Shemek has been in failing health for several years and has been bedfast for most of the last nine months. He was 77 years and 6 months old at the time of his death. He was born in Poland, April 23, 1846. He was a devoted husband and father and a kind neighbor. He is survived by his wife and 13 children. They are: Joseph, John and Stanislaus, of Genoa; James of Tarnov; Adolph, Louis and Alois, at home: Mrs. Joseph Koziol, of Omaha; Mrs. Jospeh Jarosz, of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Stanislaus Stanczyk, of Clarks, Mrs. Frank Gembica, of Silver Creek; and Valeria, at home. They were all here to attend the funeral, which was held at 10 o'clock at the Pilsno Catholic chuch. Rev. Fr. Kunkle, of Clarks, said the requiem high mass after which the remains were laid to rest in the parish cemetery.
