Glen Charles Zwahr of Rosenberg passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 61. He was born on March 21, 1963 in Richmond to Janice Mayo Graves Zwahr and Calvin Fred Zwahr, Sr. Glen was a graduate of Needville High School. He dedicated 40 years of service as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Fort Bend County Road and Bridge before retiring in 2022. His commitment to his community extended beyond his career, as he also volunteered with the Fort Bend County Fair for more than 30 years. An avid outdoorsman, Glen was happiest at the deer lease where he found peace in nature. He had a deep love for his family and cherished game nights and heartfelt conversations with them. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Glen's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Mary Steffek Zwahr and Paul Rudolph Zwahr; and his beloved wife of 35 years, Deborah "Debbie" Tomczak Zwahr. Glen's memory will be carried on by his children, Amanda Elliott (Travis), Robin Zwahr (Cody Yager), and Justin Zwahr; his grandchildren, Aiden, Draigh, Bry, and Chance Elliott; and his siblings, Janet Baranowski (Edward), Calvin Zwahr, Jr. (Brenda), Karen Gundermann, Dale Zwahr (Denise), and Annette Prihoda. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Because of Glen's love of hunting, people are encouraged to wear camo or dress casually for the funeral service. Pallbearers will be Matt Baranowski, Draigh Elliott, Travis Elliott, Chris Meyen, Joe Pavlicek, Josh Shed, Dawson Tomczak, and Cody Yager. Honorary pallbearers will be Aiden, Bry, and Chance Elliott. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that tributes be made in the name of Glen Zwahr to Brazos Bend State Park's Volunteer Organization.
