Bio

Mr. Martin Ruby Vinklarek Yoakum-Martin Rudy Vinklarek, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2008. He was born on September 10, 1921, in Gonzales County, Texas, to Richard A. and Johanna Chilek Vinklarek. He was a farmer, worked for Circle Y Leather Company, and was a veteran of the US Army. Survivors: Three daughters, Diana Ressler and husband, Doug, of Sweet Home, Sandra Patterson and husband, R.B., of Yoakum, and Kimberly Ulcak and husband, David, of Hallettsville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one brother, Frankie Vinklarek of San Antonio. Preceded in death by: Parents; wife, Helen; infant daughter, Beverly Vinklarek; four brothers, Richard, Fred, John, and Thomas Vinklarek; and three sisters, Cecilia Wenske, Janie Kurts, and Magdalena Vinklarek. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2008, at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Bob Knippenberg officiating. Interment will be at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers: Clifton Vinklarek, Larry Kurtz, Charles Wenske, Ronald Ressler, Trent Patterson, and Justin Ulcak.
