GONZALES -- Fred V. Vinklarek, 84, of Gonzales, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001. He was born Nov. 11, 1916, in Gonzales County, to the late Richard and Johanna Chilek Vinklarek. He was a farmer and a Catholic. Survivors: sisters, Janie Kurtz and Cecelia Wenske, both of Yoakum; brothers, Martin Vinklarek of Yoakum, Richard Vinklarek of Shiner and Frankie Vinklarek of San Antonio. Preceded in death by: parents; sister, Maldine Vinklarek; brothers, John Vinklarek and Tom Vinklarek.A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Buffington Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, the Rev. Jerry Caponi officiating. Burial will be at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Yoakum, 361-293-2333. Vinklarek, of Gonzales, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2001, at the age of 84 years, 2 months, and 19 days. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel, Yoakum. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerry Caponi officiating. Burial was at the St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home. The pallbearers were Clifton Vinklarek, Doug Ressler, Eugene Wenske, Charles Wenske, Richard Kurtz, and James Kurtz. He was born on November 11, 1916, in Gonzales County, to the late Richard and Johanna Chilek Vinklarek. He was a farmer and Catholic. Survivors include two sisters, Janie Kurtz and Cecelia Wenske, both of Yoakum; three brothers, Richard Vinklarek of Shiner, Martin Vinklarek of Yoakum, and Frankie Vinklarek of San Antonio. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Maldine Vinklarek; and two brothers, John Vinklarek on October 5, 1989, and Tom Vinklarek.
