Mrs. Helen Marie Kurtz Vinklarek Yoakum - Mrs. Helen Marie Vinklarek, age 55, of Yoakum, died at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday February 23, 1986, in a Cuero hospital following a long illness. She was born on October 1, 1930, in Shiner, to the late Charlie and Pauline Hrncirik Kurtz. She was a retired Tex Tan employee, having worked for the company 25 years. A parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel. A KJZT rosary will be recited at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Caponi officiating. Burial will follow at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery near Yoakum. Surviving is her husband, Martin Vinklarek of Yoakum; three daughters, Mrs. Dianne Ressler and Mrs. Sandra Valenta, both of Yoakum, and Mrs. Kim Ulcak of Hallettsville; a brother, Alfonse Kurtz of El Campo; a half-sister, Mrs. Bette Kurtz of Shiner; and three grandchildren.
