Funeral Services Saturday For Mrs. Anton Styskal Who Passed Away Wednesday, Jan. 20 Funeral servies for Mrs. Anton Styskal, who passed away at her home in the southesast part of David City at 9:30 am Wednesday, January 20, were held in St. Mary's Catholic Church, David City at 10 o'clock, Saturday morning, January 23. Solemn High mass was said by Rev. Father Kramer, and the funeral sermon was by Rev. Father Zalud, of Bee. Mrs. Styskal's sons, Anton, Joseph, Frank, James, John, and Louis, acted as pallbearers. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetary. All of Mrs. Styskal's sons and daughters and their families were in attendance at the funeral. A granddaughter, Miss Hilda Shandera, from Omaha was also present. At the time of her passing, Mrs. Styskal was aged 66 years, 9 months and 25 days. Her death was sudden, the result of a cerebral hemorrhage. Two years ago she sustained a stroke of paralysis, but had recovered from it and had been in fair health until December 23, 1925, when a second stroke came, and she was bedfast from that time until her death. Mrs. Styskal was born at Spillville, Iowa, March 25, 1859, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Reha. She had been a resident of Butler County for some 52 years, coming in November, 1873. She was married to Mr. Styskal at Appleton May 10, 1878. They resided on their farm five miles East of David City from the time of their marriage until they retired form farm life and moved to David City, 12 years ago. Surviving Mrs. Styskal are her husband and 11 children, seven sons, and four daughters. The children are Anton F. Styskal of David City, Frank F. Styskal of Exeter, John J. Styskal of David City, James J. Styskal of Maywood, Louis J. Styskal of Stockham, Joseph A. Styskal of Bee, Mrs. Joe Shandera of David City, Mrs. Leo Litty of Callaway, Mrs. John Reznicek of Wisner, Miss Frances Styskal at home and Edward Styskal of Lincoln. Mrs. Styskal also leaves one brother, Thomas Reha of Dwight, one sister, Mrs. Anton Bruner of David City, 31 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
