Bio
Edward Styskal of David City, a retired government employee, died Wednesday, February 6, in the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services for Mr. Styskal, 81, were conducted Saturday morning, February 9, from St. Mary's Catholic Church in David City. Pallbearers were James Van Moorleghem, Donald Van Moorleghem, Robert Styskal, Elmer Styskal, Donald Styskal and Fred Styskal. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The son of Anton Styskal and Mary Riha, Edward Styskal was born April 6, 1898. He was a graduate of David City High School and Kearney State College. Prior to his retirement to David City approximately 20 years ago, he was employed by the government in St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Anton, Frank, Joe, James, John and Louis, and three sisters, Mary, Stacia and Antoinette. He is survived by nephews and nieces.
