Bio

William A. Dent, 52, of Jeannette, died at 12:30 Friday morning in Jeannette Memorial Hospital. He was a retired worker at the American St. Gobain glass factory and a veteran of World War II. He was a son of the late Natale and Filomena Dente. Mr. Dent was a past commander of VFW Post No. 28, a member of Local 21, CIO and Sacred Heart Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Helen Duckworth Dent; three sons, William, Robert and Thomas, all at home; a sister Mrs. Norma Magoni, Ridgeway; two brothers Israel, of Jeannette and Sylvester of New York City. Friends will be received at the Birk Funeral Home with funeral services to be conducted with requiem high mass Monday morning in Sacred Heart Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in Jeannette Catholic Cemetery.
