Bio

Thomas J. Dent, 68, of Harrison City, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017. He was born May 2, 1948, in Greensburg, a son of the late William A. Sr., and Helen R. (Duckworth) Dent. Prior to his retirement, Tom was a network engineer for Unisys Corp. in Bluebell, PA. Tom enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He is survived by a daughter Heather Tanyer and husband, Vince, of Penn Twp.; grandchildren, Skye and Joseph Tanyer; brothers William A. Dent, Jr., and wife Daneen of Trafford, and Robert L. Dent and wife Joyce of Jeannette; nieces, Christine Elias and husband Mike, Lisa Dent, and Brandi Binakonsky and husband Jeremy; nephews, Michael Dent and wife Jacqueline, and Robert Dent Jr.; and a godson Jimmy Raby. Friends were received in the John V. Graziano Funeral Home, Inc., Jeannette. A blessing service took place at 10:00 a.m. TUesday in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Paul A. Lisik presiding. A private interment took place in the Jeannette Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Twp.
