Natale Dente, 75, a retired Pennsylvania Rubber employee, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the home of his son, Israel Dent, 416 Division Street. Ill for a number of years, Dente underwent two major operations in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, recently. He returned home, was taken to Westmoreland Hospital two weeks ago when a cold weakened his condition, then returned home again when medical men reported there was nothing further they could do for him. Born in Italy, he came to America 40 years ago, and after residing for a time in White Rock, PA, moved to Jeannette in 1906. He retired from work 17 years ago. He was a member of the Garibaldi Beneficial and the Dias Beneficial societies. Survivors include his son, Israel, and the following other children: Neal, Cynthian, Ky.; Michael and Sylvester, both of Brooklyn; Mrs. Norma Magoni, Ridgeway; Carmen, Sherman, Tx., and William, Jeannette. Other survivors include seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; three brothers and four sisters in Italy, and a number of Jeannette great nephews, including Senator John H. Dent. Friends will be received at the home of his son, Israel, until 9 a.m. Tuesday, the time scheduled for services. A requiem high mass will follow in Ascension Church at 9:30 a.m. and interment will be in Jeannette Catholic Cemetery. His mother was Carolina Troisi, daughter of Nicola, who resided on Rociole Street in Montefredane. Natale and Filomena Aquino Dente were married in Italy on February 21, 1897. Natale came over to the states alone arriving on 12/6/1898 aboard the "Hesperia" from Naples to New York. His first child (that we know about), Uncle Neal, was born on Dec 14, 1898 in Montefredane. They also had a daughter, Maria Carmela born in 1900 who died in 1902 before the family immigrated to America. Filomena and Neal came over on the Patria in 1902. Other children not yet linked: Maria Carmela - 1900 - 1902, died in Montefredane, Avellino, Campagna, Italy. Michael (Mickey) Dente, b. 5-27-1906, died 11-8-1960 in Brooklyn, NY. **********************
