Adeline Bush April 13, 1924 - July 18, 2011 Biography Adeline Bush, 87, of Whitney, passed away July 18, 2011 in a Whitney nursing home. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Chaplain Marvin L. Mott of Odyssey Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Bend Coon Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday. Adeline was born on April 13, 1924 in Hill County to Perry and Mamie (Ivy) Shelley. She lived in the Whitney area most of her life. Adeline married Doug Bush January 19, 1941 and he preceded her in death on February 19, 2004. She was a homemaker and a member the Red Hat Society. Adeline was of the Christian faith. Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, Darrell Shelley, James Shelley and W.A. Shelley; sisters, Oma Dell Young and Betty Simpson. Adeline is survived by her children, Reta Zimmerman and husband, Richard of Whitney and Jerry Bush and wife, Donna of Whitney; brother, Perry Shelley, Jr. and wife, Jackie of Whitney; Grandchildren, Rick Zimmerman and wife, Patty, Leah Zimmerman, Steve Zimmerman, Robin Doan and husband, John, Ken Bush and wife, Elizabeth; Great-grandchildren: Megan Johnson and husband, Jason, Ryan Argo, Lauren Zimmerman, Abby Zimmerman, Eryn Zimmerman, Tanner Doan, Tate Doan, Dylan Bush and Denver Bush. One great-great grandson, Gavin Johnson.
