Rites In Albion For George Zabka George Dewey Zabka of Albion was born May 30, 1899 at Leigh, Nebraska, the son of Joseph and Edith Wilbur Zabka. He departed this life Nov. 2, 1963 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha after attaining the age of 64 years, 5 months and 3 days. He was married to Josephine Libra on June 27, 1922. To this union 10 children were born. One son, Raymond, preceded him in death in 1926, and another son Joe, died in 1955. He was actively engaged in farming in the Albion community all his life. Surviving are his wife Josephine; sons, George and Marvin of Petersburg, Harold and Adolph of St. Edward; daughters, Mrs. Leroy Fulsaas (Agnes) of Meadow Grove, Mrs. Charles Morris (Helen) and Mrs. Charles (Josephine)Homolka, both of Albion, and Betty at home; step mother Mrs. Martha Zabka and one brother, Charlie, both of St. Edward; one sister, Mrs. Louis Tranda of Omaha; and 25 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion on Tuesday, Nov. 5th. Rev. Daniel Brick officiated. Music was furnished by St. Michael's Choir. Pallbearers were Mike Siedlyk, John Kelleler, Raymond Gray, Tom Zelazny, Lee Morris and Alphonse Reardon. Interment was in St. Michael's cemetery
