Bio

Josephine Mae Homolka, 88, received her angel wings and flew to Heaven on Wednesday, December 7, 2016. She passed away at the Neligh Golden Living Center in Neligh, Nebraska. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 9:00 A.M. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Albion with Father Mark Tomasiewicz celebrating the Mass. Interment will be in the St. Michael Cemetery. Josephine was born February 2, 1928, to George D. and Josie (Libra) Zabka in Boone County, Nebraska. She graduated from Albion High School in in 1945. On December 27, 1954, Josephine was united in marriage to Charles Homolka. They resided in Albion their entire married life. Josephine was a lifetime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and served on the Alter Society. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Josephine is survived by: Son: Larry (Beverly, nee Bentjen) Homolka of Fort Collins, CO Three Grandchildren: Tyler (Kim) Homolka of Fort Collins, CO Kyle Homolka of San Juan Capistrano, CA Justin (Sonya) Homolka Broomfield, CO Three Great Grandchildren: Austin, Kiara, and Annika Brother: Adolph (Trenda) Zabka of Swanton, NE Sister: Betty (Jim) Miller of Belgrade, NE Many nieces and nephews Josephine was preceded in death by: Parents: George & Josie Zabka Husband: Charles Homolka Five brothers Two sisters
